Integrations
What Varra can connect to, and what it is allowed to do there. Today that is one service: Gmail, used to send an email its owner has approved, for eligible accounts only. Varra connects to no other business system.
Connected today
One connection, and it only sends.
Gmail
Limited means available only in a narrow form or to eligible accounts, and not generally available. Planned means not built.
- LimitedSending an approved email. Eligible accounts can prepare a plain-text email from a Work Item, approve it, and have Varra make one attempt to send it through their Gmail connection. One recipient, no attachments, one email per approval, and a failed attempt is never retried automatically. The connection only sends; it reads no mail. It is not generally available.
What every account can use today, and what only some can, is listed on Capabilities.
Permission
Being able to send is not the same as being allowed to.
How permission works
- Authorized separately. Connecting Gmail is its own step, separate from signing in, started by you on Google’s permission screen. It asks to send email on your behalf and to identify the connected address. If Google grants anything else, the connection is refused and the grant revoked.
- Approved one email at a time. Each send needs its owner’s approval of that exact email, and the approval expires. It covers that one email and nothing else. There are no team roles or delegated approvals.
- One attempt. Varra acts on the approval, never on its own judgment, and makes one attempt to send.
- Kept from the model. Sending an approved email does not pass the email or your Gmail details to the AI model provider.
- Disconnect at any time, from Varra’s Connections settings or from your Google Account. Disconnecting deletes the stored token and asks Google to revoke it.

Not integrations
Things that can look like a connection, and are not.
What is not an integration
- Sign in with Google is identity only. It gives Varra no access to Gmail or to files.
- Web search is a tool Varra uses to find current information, not a connection to any account of yours.
- Files you upload, such as a PDF or an image, are handed to Varra in a conversation. Nothing is read from a storage service.
- The model Varra runs on, Anthropic’s Claude, is infrastructure, not a connection to your systems.
Not yet built
Directions, not integrations.
Planned connections
- PlannedReading email. Today the Gmail connection only sends.
- PlannedStorage. Documents held in a storage service, rather than handed over in a conversation.
- PlannedProject management and accounting. The systems where a company’s work and money are recorded.
- PlannedOther systems of record, such as field service and ERP.
None of these is connected, and no dates are given. When a connection changes, it changes first on Build status.
Plugins and extensibility. Varra’s integrations are being built incrementally, each one by Syntur. Syntur’s longer-term direction includes a broader ecosystem of connected applications and, potentially, extensible plugins. No plugin is available or installable today, there is no public plugin platform or third-party marketplace, and no release date has been announced.
